ID 24-376 Consider a motion to reconsider the February 6, 2023 approval of a resolution of the City of Denton supporting Denton Affordable Housing Corporation's 9% housing tax credit application to Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for proposed new construction of the Stella Haven Apartments to provide affordable rental housing; committing to provide fee reductions in an amount of $500.00; and providing an effective date.
I support the motion to reconsider the councils previous actions on this proposed development. I oppose putting a low income housing project at the entrance to Sundown Ranch neighborhood. As a long time homeowner in SDR, I am highly concerned about our safety, our property values, increased traffic and destruction of old trees. Please support this motion and please vote against giving this proposal the tax credit for it to be built

I am asking for your support in recalling the vote of approval of tax credits for Stella Haven project located at 3300 Sundown Ranch Blvd. Our home owners association was not informed about this development proposal until February 6th, which was not enough notification to gather proper information. After meeting with the developer, as you all are aware, more information has come to light regarding this project. I am concerned with traffic, safety, and property values.
