ID 24-674 Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton determining the public use, need and necessity for the acquisition of approximately 14.434 acres of land located along Ryan Road, in the T. Labor Survey, Abstract Number 779 and N. Britton Survey, Abstract Number 051, each in the City and County of Denton, Texas for the purpose of a future library facility and other public amenities; authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract of sale between the City of Denton, as Buyer and the Evangelical Good Samaritan Society a North Dakota nonprofit corporation, as Seller; authorizing the City Manager to consummate and accept the purchase, grant and conveyance to the City of Denton from the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society; authorizing the expenditure of funds not to exceed Two Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($2,750,000.00) plus associated closing costs; and providing for severability and an effective date.
