ID 21-2808 Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Denton approving the redistricting of the city's single-member council districts and establishing new district boundary lines based on 2020 census data for Denton City Council elections; and providing for an effective date.
I can support plan A, C or D. I strongly oppose plan B. Plan B moves the Southridge neighborhood out of district 4 and lumps us in with district 3. Talk about splitting neighborhoods which is criteria 2- Communities of interest should be maintained in a single district, where possible, and attempts should be made to avoid splitting neighborhoods. The interest of our neighborhood do not align with the neighborhoods around UNT, they align with the souther neighborhoods of Denton. Preference D

As a homeowner in District 3, I am in support of City Council adopting either redistricting Plan Bravo or Delta.
